Crowley - William Eric Spicer. With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William (Bill) Spicer on December 26, 2024, at the age of 64. Bill was a beloved father, grandfather, companion, brother, and friend. His sudden departure leaves a void in the lives of all who knew him. Bill was a man who never met a stranger. His warm smile and easygoing nature made him a friend to everyone he encountered. He began each day with a cup of coffee and a few rounds of Farkle, always ready to greet the world with his infectious optimism. His love for life was evident in everything he did, from his love of cooking to his passion for painting. Bill was an accomplished artist, leaving behind many beautiful works that will continue to be admired for years to come. Whether it was a meal from the stove or something sizzling off the grill, Bill’s kitchen was always a place of comfort, where he shared his love with anyone who was lucky enough to stop by. Bill is survived by his children, Tiffany Spicer, Sean Spicer, and Zachary Spicer; stepchildren, Colby Henry, Ashley Moore, Damon Moore, and Haley Touchet; and grandchildren Ashton Spicer, Karter Ballard, Aaliyah Trahan, Desmond Moore, and Kayah Moore. He is also survived by his brothers Gregory Spicer and Chris Spicer, his companion Angela Istre, and long-time friend Theo Drechsler, as well as many other family members and friends who loved him deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Nancy Siefke Spicer; his brother, Rodney Spicer; and his stepdaughter, Gabby Henry. Bill’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice Carpenter House, Acadia General Hospital, and Mikey’s Bar, as well as Ray Istre and Vanessa Istre for their unwavering support during this difficult time. A celebration of life will be held on January 4, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Mikey’s Bar, 102 N. Ave F, Crowley, LA 70526. We invite all who knew Bill to come share in the joy and memories of his life, as we remember the friend, father, and artist who made a lasting impact on all who were fortunate to know him. Rest in peace, Bill. You will always be remembered, and your legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved you.
