Yvonne Carol Ann Schexnider

Yvonne Schexnider passed away on September 29, 2026, the same day she celebrated her 80th birthday.

Born on September 29, 1946, to Emma and Milton Melancon, Yvonne lived a life marked by hard work, determination, and a deep love for her family.

For 32 years, she worked at Stuller, where she built a career she was incredibly proud of. She took great pride in what she accomplished during her years there and remained proud of that chapter of her life long after her retirement.

Above all, Yvonne loved her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Kellie Touchet and her husband, Paul; her grandchildren, Raven Schexnider (Lorraine), Collyn DuBose (Sydney), Lea Schexnider (Cody), Jaice DuBose, and Lauren Babin (Trevor); and her great-grandchildren, Jude DuBose, Evangeline DuBose, Cecily DuBose, Lyla Lasage, and Maverick Lasage. She also leaves behind a great-granddaughter, Paisley Mae Campbell, who will soon be welcomed into the family.

She is also survived by her siblings, Harold Melancon (Kaye), Betty Lou Trahan, and Peggy LeBlanc (Kevin).

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Emma and Milton Melancon, and her son, Gerard Schexnider.

It is difficult to put an entire life into a few paragraphs. She leaves behind years of memories, lessons, stories, and a family who will carry a part of her with them always.
